I try to do something else, different from writing. Go for a walk, if I can. Or answer readers' emails, which is a favorite thing to do and which sometimes I neglect... :-(
If that doesn't happen, I write something further along in the book, something that I know it's going to happen. Then, I can go back and piece everything together.

Love your books man. I've noticed that you don't get into a lot of detail on the appearance of your characters. Is that so when movies get made about your books, we don't get all worked up if the movie actor doesn't match our ideal? Like Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher!!! Or even Markie Mark as Bob Lee in the shooter movie, I mean come on, Bob Lee is from Arkansas, I missed that drawl! Peace, keep em coming.
