Goodreads asked Janet Newton:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Janet Newton The hardest thing for me as a writer is to come up with a plausible murder that can happen in the tiny village of Llangynog, so my writer's block mostly occurs when I'm planning a new book. I spend a lot of time walking, riding my bicycle, and going for long drives in the car. When my husband asks how I'm doing when I'm quiet for a while, I tell him I'm thinking about murder. I'm always thinking about my next book, and sooner or later I come up with an idea I like.
