Pat asked Savannah Hendricks:

Where did the name "I adopted My Mom at the Bus Station" originate?

Savannah Hendricks Hi Pat!
Please forgive my late response!!
The title came to me as I was thinking about my own mom and what would happen if a child ran away. As I continued to ponder I started to think about adoption and how many people adopt everything from animals to children. I had the idea of a child running away and thought about a young child's possible mindset, which is usually less "fearful" of right and wrong, especially when emotions come into play. Once when I was about ten years old this super nice older lady sat next to me on the plane and she told me if I get sleepy it was okay if I rested my head on her shoulder. Mind you this was a different time and not unusual for a child to fly alone (as I often did) to visit my mom. So that memory played into it as well since I thought I could have easily said "Okay, lady, and also I'm going to go with you after the plane lands, haha.
