Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Darryl Chislett I started writing this book 30 years ago - I was in university and many of my friends were Portuguese and their fathers owned fishing ships that came into St. John's. We had a plan to hitch a ride over to Europe on one of the boats - the adventure would then start. The actual plan never came to be, but the mental adventure kept forming!
