Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jacob Moon I've worked for many years in a large county jail. Many times I've wondered about how inmates could possibly escape (and have), and what would happen if they weren't immediately re-captured. When I took an online writing class, one of our assignments was to create a synopsis and rough outline for a longer type of story. I used my jail experience to formulate a jailbreak scenario. Several added elements came to me over time and one day while speaking with a friend about it I decided to sit down and start writing the book from the first word. Seven years and thousands of hours later, Furlough was born.
