Goodreads asked James Pyne:

How do you get inspired to write?

James Pyne I have always been writing my adult life in some capacity. I would go further back to when my Mom used to sit outside with me on the front doorsteps while we both tried pronouncing dinosaur names. It was amazing to me such creatures roamed the planet. I would never forget those days with my mom. My imagination sparked around that time and I spent more time in the worlds I created in my head than in the real world . . .eventually I started writing those things down. I would say Grade 5 I started writing stories about me and my classmates. But I really didn't get serious about it until I came across my mother's ribbon typewriter from way back in the day. I never looked back.
