Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Darrah Steffen My most recent book - Rise of the Dragon Queen- has been rattling around in my mind for a long time. Way back when I was in middle school, we had a project where we had to design our own country. We were required to come up with the governing system, the trading, landmarks, etc. That was where I first made Dragonia. I even wrote a really bad ten-page story about two important women in its history. These ended up turning into Jennica and Sammaria.
