How do you deal with writer’s block?

Raine Reiter I don't believe in writer's block. It happens when I make the writing process too important. I tell student in my writing classes to turn off the perfectionist and"write ugly and droll". Another reason is that characters lack clearer goals and objectives. Bring them to life and they'll tell you where to go. Lastly, to quote Raymond Chandler... when all else fails have someone what into the room with a gun. ;)
