Roslyn Muir And you thought writing was the hard part! Promoting a new book is challenging--especially the first time. The answer to your question, Carol, really depends on your genre and age range. There is a lot of advice out there in writer groups and you really need to pick what works best for you. I've tried a variety of things to promote my book and I think the best thing was arranging a book tour with a promotion company. It took place the first month of the release and really gave me momentum, interviews, and reviews. One thing I will do for the second book in The Chimera's Apprentice series is to get an ARC (advanced reader copy) team together so that they help me promote the book.
