How do you get inspired to write?

Joy Margetts Three things - a long hidden dream to write a whole novel, time on my hands due to Covid Lockdown, and my daughter's advice. Just write... she told me. Start with a scene you can imagine really well and write that. I had had the idea for the story for almost a year before I was brave enough to start writing it down. Starting at the beginning was a barrier. Once I did as my daughter said, the rest of the story just flowed.
