Goodreads asked Imogen Keeper:

What are you currently working on?

Imogen Keeper I'm working on a dystopian romantic trilogy called City of a Thousand Liars. The first book Outlaw is done. Wanted is almost there. The last one, Captive, is still a tangle. But I'm so excited about this story.

Here's a little quote:

“I know everything I need to know.” His head cocks like he’s weighing his words. “When you first came in, you almost pitied me.” He says it so softly, I barely even hear the words. “It was there in your eyes. No fear of Outlaw. No hate. Just…humanity.”

I shouldn’t believe a word that pours from his silver tongue. All these things he says, he’s saying them so he can use me, control me. Or maybe he is telling the truth, maybe the humanity in me calls to the beast in him.

“I am afraid of Outlaws,” I say. “I did fear you.”

“You didn’t just fear me. And you didn’t hate me on sight. You met my eyes.”

Is that what this man craves from me? What keeps him staring at me like a starving animal? For me to look at him and see him?
