How do you deal with writer’s block?

Danny Lenihan Creativity can't be forced. I find that the best way to deal with a blank pages is to walk away from it and do something else. It can become wholly frustrating staring at an empty screen, wondering if your brain is still functioning at all.

There are, very occasionally, moments where I push through the pain and work on another aspect of the story - perhaps the blurb, or designing the cover. This can quite often lead to sparks of inspiration that kickstart your writing.
