M.J. Porter Hi Jan. Thanks for your question and sorry for the confusion. They're almost the same book but The Earl of Mercia's Father is the second edition and my preferred one. A publisher has the rights to the ebook as Viking Sword. I have the paperback rights as The Earl of Mercia's Father. You will get the same main story but the editing is much better in the paperback.
I hope you enjoy the series whichever one you start with.
