Hi Alison, I just took a peek at your summoner sister web site. From what I see the story is prevocative. What do the sisters represent to you personaly? The rules and the spirit of the rules are a great distiction. I too have troublr with this. I am now inclined to see both shades of grey and only black and white. It is a difficult position.

Hi! Thanks for looking. I am a sister myself, and I was frustrated that so few books (or other media for that matter) seem to get that relationship "right". Or more charitably, I haven't seen many sisters in books that act like the sister I have and the sisters I see in my life. So this is my attempt at remedying that. Morality, trust, wanting something versus needing something...I think conflict is most interesting when there are costs and no clear answers. It's been a lot of fun to see readers say "I can't believe they'd do X, the only viable answer is Y" on all sides. Because I agree! It should be simple! And it never is!

Hi, Allison. I've become an admirer of the way in which you have generated interest and kept the momentum of the SFFBC. Like you, I am also an author. I've just completed my 2nd book and I'm getting ready to go to market. I wonder if you would be open to a virtual coffee break so I can learn a bit about how you have maintained a social media presence on Goodreads. I am available most days. What's best for you? J

Hi Allison,
I have been a traditionally published writer of dark fantasy, alternative history , SF and horror and award winning steampunk since 2006. I am a total newbie though to getting the word out about my books other than announcements on Facebook. Being UK based, self promotion has always been seen as 'showing off'! Any tips on how to connect with readers on Goodreads gratefully received. Thoughts?
