I mostly use Goodreads as a reader. I love talking books, cracking jokes (some say too many), and trying to invoke The Once And Future King all the time always. Send me a friend request! I avoid sending them as many expect indie authors to be very aggressive and I don't want to start a friendship with a shudder at the thought of incoming bookwhacking from an author. (Which I do not do!) **I will not message you about any blog or promotional activities**

A quick list of negatives:

-I won't add your book to my group, as that's not how my group works.
-I don't work for Goodreads or Amazon and can't fix your technical issues.
-I'm not looking for romantic connections

Sorry if that crushes your hopes! I hate being the bearer of bad news, but I also t

That's awesome, good luck!

I'm not sure I have much advice to give! I'm not really an expert myself. Writing is just about getting the words down and then editing relentlessly. Every page I write gets minimum a dozen read-throughs by my own eyes before anyone else sees them. I guess my biggest piece of advice is when you think you're happy with the way something sounds, read it out loud. You'll find a lot of little mistakes or areas that are confusing when you say it to yourself. Otherwise, write and don't stop!(less)

Be Punk AF

In my first year of law school, one professor paced the front of class, waiting for news about whether there was a stay of execution for a man sentenced to death.

“Let this be a lesson,” he said as the tension left his body upon hearing that the stay had been granted, “that what we do here has very real consequences.”

That same term, in another course, we discussed a real event where people’s loved

Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man's Fear

“But there was a time when each of us stood naked before the world, confronting life as a serious problem with which we were intimately and passionately concerned... There was a time when Free Love versus Catholic Morality was a question of as much importance to our hot bodies as if a pistol had been clapped to our heads.

Further back, there were times when we wondered with all our souls, what the world was, what love was, what we were ourselves.”

Alistair Montague Hi Allison,
came by to check which Stephenson you've read. Sometimes I like approaching a living author with their most recent work rather than the old stuff that made their name; but perhaps not in his case... But I'm looking forward to the The Diamond Age re-read; looks like we'll have our fill of cyberpunk this semester.
