Goodreads asked Kenna Charles:

How do you get inspired to write?

Kenna Charles Turn off the television and pick up the laptop. Those two little actions are all I need to jump in. The rest is allowing the story to unfold as your fingers dance over the keys.

I was once priveleged to hear Elizabeth Gilbert speak. She described how the stories she writes seem to gently float around her head until she can grasp one and get it down. The ideas are floating around out there. Once I sit and give them an opportunity, they pour through my fingers like water through an open tap.
