How do you get inspired to write?

Stephen Kronwith Ever since 4th grade I wanted to write a novel. In fact, one day a friend and I decided we were going to write a sci-fi novel called "The Secret of the 10th Planet." We got to my place and the first line came: "10, 9, 8, 7 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, blastoff!" Then we were stumped. As the years went by, it was always in the back of my head to write, but college, medical school and then medical practice always left little time. Now, retired, I can finally get down to it.
