Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Larry Denninger Songs for Clara grew out of my love for classical music, and the capacity of music to affect our emotions, memories, and relationships. A great illustration of this is Chopin's Prelude No. 4, as exhibited by Benjamin Zander in a TED Talk from several years ago. Watch it - it's amazing. That video served as one of the inspirations for my book.

Music has the ability to connect us as well as divide us, and my hope is that readers will come away from Songs for Clara having experienced both realities as portrayed by the relationship between Frank and his father.
