How do you get inspired to write?

Jack Williamson I get inspired to write, but first and foremost creating a space in my study that is free from all distractions.

I've created a framework that works for me, by putting on a board all I need to do for my book that day or week and then I pin to the wall along with the timeframes within which to do it, and then give myself strict deadlines to stay focused during those periods.

I also ensure that I have all the resources I need with me (references, material etc) so that I don't have an excuse to get out of my hyper focus mode.
