What software do you use to write? How long have you been using it/why do you think it's advantageous as opposed to other software?

Stuart Gibbs I start on Pages, because it easily transfers from one device of mine to others -- and most importantly, it constantly autosaves.

I have to switch to MS Word in later drafts because that is the software my publisher uses. It works decently well -- except for the lack of autosaving.
