I had an interesting experience some years ago while training to obtain my commercial pilot license. I was preflighting the aircraft when I became aware of being watched. Turning around I saw as clear as day an older man standing at the propeller. He was dressed like an aviation engineer. His gaze was intense. Then he disappeared into thin air. Upon inspection of the propeller I noticed a minute defect in one of the blades. The mystery remains as to why he appeared to me and whether he had tried to warn other pilots flying that aircraft. I am sure that encounter could be weaved into a ghost story.
