Goodreads asked Cindy Skaggs:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Cindy Skaggs A good life is filled with mystery. If I were write a children's book, I would write about the time my best friend and I built snow tunnels and dug through ice in the middle of the street looking for the missing turquoise ring my uncle gave me. As I moved to adulthood, the mysteries became more complex with a psychological edge ala Sleeping with the Enemy. Life gives writers more mysteries than they can ever use, but it's our job to find the most interesting, the most impenetrable unknowns to turn into novels.
