Goodreads asked Sass Green:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Sass Green This is an excellent question!

I love dining in fine restaurants. This is especially true in Europe where the servers tend to stay at the same restaurant for years, even decades.

At one point, I also wrote restaurant reviews.

Even though the chefs are not supposed to know they are being reviewed, once I was taken inside the kitchen. I was surprised to see my picture right on the back wall of the kitchen door!

And you probably already know, that most chefs are incredibly handsome!

So when I was plotting my new upcoming book, Poisoned in Provence, I got to thinking about the times I've judged restaurants for a competition ...

... and I started thinking, what would happen one of the judges (hopefully not me!) got poisoned from a rival judge, or a chef.

That "what if" question was the beginning point for my new book!
