I love each and every book you write, and the way they all intermingle with each other and help each other’s force. They are fabulous books. Sorry to put you on the spot, but it was the way I read it. What about Matt, have you written another one for him? I just live the twists in those xx
Joy Ellis
Hello Carole, yes, they do overlap. When I first had the idea for a crime series, I saw it as several different divisions within the same constabulary, all sharing the same Home Office pathologist and Force Medical Officers and psychologists. Then when Nikki Galena became popular I wasn't sure about writing the others, but found it worked out well. It gives me a little break from the same characters too, especially the Matt Ballards books now that he is retired from the Force. No forensics and no warrant cards to make things easier! It's a real teaser for me and I do enjoy it. So pleased you like them all, and I'm already writing the next Matt book. No rest around here! Ha-ha! xx

Hello Joy Firstly can I just let you know how much I'm loving your books! I've just finished the Nikki series while I was waiting for the next Jackman to come out. In Graves there was a new psychologist - what happened to the old one that was with Jackman? Did I miss something? Sometimes I fall asleep 😴 while reading (wee hours of the morning) but I usually find my place again the next day. Love them all

I have 'read' (listened' to ) all 4 & am now excitingly expecting for the 5th The Stolen Boys. Just like waiting to meet up with an old friend. Thank you, Ms Ellis, for bringing Jackman and his team, his world to us. Those hours while I was driving to work and back, the story you created have been my company, my entertainment and a pristine example of one person's creativity can touch many, many souls. Right?
