Varsha (bansheesbookstagram) asked Lilian Li:

How do you beat Writer's block? Have you ever felt like your writing isn't all that great? How do you get over that feeling?

Lilian Li Thanks so much for your question! I try to battle writer's block by organizing my thoughts and writing something I want to write. It could be not related to my current project or a small, random scene in the book, but as long as I'm writing, that spark eventually returns.

I've definitely faced fears that my writing wasn't great. I was so scared to share any work with anyone, but I eventually opened my circle and accepted feedback. Going anonymous first also helps if you're not ready to share publicly. Working in advertising also helped me to adapt to constructive criticism. I also get over the feeling that I'm not writing for anyone in particular; I'm writing for myself. If I love what I'm doing, then that's really the most important factor :)
