Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Aeron Dusk I've written 2 books since The Mark of Amulii, and each one of those stories was inspired by friends. One of them is an artist, and I was looking at some of his characters and the story just clicked.

Another friend of mine told me a dream he had, and it sparked a muse.

As far as The Mark of Amulii, it was a dream I had 11 years ago, and somehow I managed to make it an entire (horribly-written) story that I put away for over a decade and rewrote last year.
