Mouth agape, four-year-old Billy trembled and pointed toward the dark woods which danced with unusual shadows on the moonless night. Peering into the blackness, his mother reassured him that there was nothing there until she turned back to Billy and screamed in horror upon seeing her precious boy transformed into a darkling child who howled and ran into the forest to join the other spirits of nature.
