How do you get inspired to write?

David Andrew DeRose Two things, that when they intersect, inspire me to write. I am a community listener. I’m always observing and trying to make sense of the world around me. When I see an area that I think needs some serious improvement, I’m inspired. I have a two year old daughter and a baby on the way. Thinking about life lessons and the positioning of their heart for others and the world around me is inspiring. When I can create a story that hits both of these, addressing societal need and creating a message I want to share with my kids, is what truly sparks my drive to write.
