Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

M.J. Marsh The easy answer is from the preceeding book, as it's a sequel.

But the Junior Jianghu series idea I got from reading a hundred or more xianxia, xuanhuan and isekai and being dissatisfied by a bunch of tropes and tendencies within those genres.

Thus, the entire series can be seen as a Western revision of an Eastern genre, written by an idiot who can't take anything seriously for more than a second....
