Rocio asked Kimberly Williams-Paisley:

Hi Kim. My mom also had this disease and passed away this October. After reading your book I realized that in a way my mom's disease was in a strange way one of "God's Wink" in that through this weakness God became strong in us. Did you think at any point in time that going through this whole journey was in a way a "God's Wink?"

Kimberly Williams-Paisley Thanks for your question and for reading my book. I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. I wouldn’t call PPA part of a “God wink,” necessarily, but maybe more of a nudge? I believe everything that happens in life can push us to a higher place of learning, understanding, growth, if we choose to look at it that way. I think God wants growth and healing for us, and life on earth offers many of those (often painful) opportunities. I feel the winks like a high five, a “keep going” sort of cheer from God, a sign that I’m heading in the right direction. I am glad you feel God’s strong presence in your journey with your mom. I wish for you many winks. Thanks again for writing. -Kim
