Hi alka joshi How are you? Will you be writing another series of books after the henna artist books or will you keep going with them? I think you were saying the henna artist was going to be a trilogy series. What sort of books are you going to write next? Your books are really great. I've been really enjoying them and looking forward to your posts on goodreads and Instagram. From Sarah

Dear Sarah,
Thanks for your question! I’m just finishing up book #3 of the Jaipur Trilogy. I hope to be in India after that for the filming of the Netflix TV series of THE HENNA ARTIST. On my bucket list are the cartoons I’d like to send to THE NEW YORKER, mostly about my dachshund :-). I also want to work on a graphic novel adaption of THE HENNA ARTIST for Visual learners. I think that book number three would be a wonderful movie script. I want to try to work on that one as well. So many things to do… So little time! :-)

Hello Mrs. Joshi, I bought the Audible version of, “The Henna Artist,” and I too loved it! I had it devoured over three evenings before bed. So well written, I could actually visualize so many of these scenes and I’ve never been to India. Any book I can visualize is well written. Q? Are the cast systems still in place as much as they used to be in India? Seems sad when I hear about how when someone is born into a cast

This might be for the larger group, but I can totally picture this book as a movie. I can see Kangana Ranaut as Parvati Singh, Dev Patel as Dr. Kumar, and maybe up-an-coming actresses as Lakshmi and Radha. This is just a fun way of saying I loved the book, Ms. Alka! Who might you picture in The Henna Artist film?

Why didn't you include a sketch about what Henna art is? I didn't know what it was until I looked it up on line. You said at the South County library in Estero, Florida that you were an Empath. That actually means you are a highly sensitive person and there is a book by that name. I'm also highly sensitive. Basically we are born that way. You speech presentation was very good. Thanks for coming. I got your book.
