Hi Lois!I was in a bit of a funk so I reread Cordelia's Honor and caught a couple of things that I hadn't noticed before. I will have a separate post for each. #1. At Ezar's deathbed, Ezar refers to the massacre where Aral's 'mother and uncle' were killed. I thought it was Aral's older brother. We never heard anything else about an uncle. Was this just a slip of the pen?

Early work, and I don't remember what all I intended. I suppose there could have been an uncle on one side or the other also caught up in the general deadly sweep, possibly Padma's father i.e. Sonia's husband. It was an extended family gathering, after all, plus the death squads struck elsewhere at the same time. Final version is mother, brother, and sister there at the time for sure.

Lois McMaster Bujold:
I mostly read your books on Audible. I've read all of Vorkosigan and the three main Five Gods books and want to start Penric but its hard to justify using a years worth of credits for short stories. Do you have any plans to release the collections as audiobooks to help solve this sort of issue? Side question: When the Audible Plus program was first introduced why were only some seemly random books available through?

That it was more profoundly disturbing than any of the many times she had been sure she would die in surgery. It took over a year for her to really come to grips with it. She’s doing well now. (Although she married a guy I don’t like and we’re not in as close touch as we used to be.)?
