P.T. Denys:
Hello :) I can imagine it's a process to write a book, I was wondering if you can provide information on book #3 please? Thank you so much, Lee
P.T. Denys
Hey Lee, sorry to have missed your question. I didn't see this until someone asked a question recently and I saw this was unanswered from over a year ago. Again, my apologies. While I may not get on my Goodreads author profile a lot, I can tell you that I am still writing and am still working on their story - see the other answer I posted tonight. I promise - it will come!
And, as an extra apology - I'll tell you first - I've also been working on a completely new book as well. This is the story of Langston and Chase...and this is the first anyone has heard of it (excuse typos - it for sure has not gone through an editor and who knows if this will ever make it to the final). My apology to you for taking a YEAR to answer your question.
_______
"Langston had never been scared of Chase. Langston had the broad shoulders and square jawline you might think of when you think of Captain America with black hair, Chase came in just a few inches shorter than Langston, leaner build and the high cheekbones one usually associates with the likes of Johnny Depp, but strong. Though Langston was stronger.
Chase had always been eccentric. He was beautifully wild in his artistic vision. What was it they said about madness and genius? That was Chase. In the beginning, before they even knew the definition of eccentric, Langston felt drawn into the wildness, the passion, and the possessiveness. And Chase was every bit as enamored with Langston. His strength, his protectiveness, and his ability to tame the storm that raged on in Chase's world. They wanted the love that drew them together, the love where they had to love each other or hate each other because there was no in-between.
Langston had grown up with doctors as parents, both of them, just like he'd become. They were, removed, showed little emotion. When he met Chase in college the friendship formed fast with nights of endless banter and wine. Chase was pursuing a degree in theater, he wanted to be a director, he introduced Langston to absurdist theater, avant-garde art, and abstract novels. All things Langston's parents never thought he should waste his time on. Chase attended political marches, ranted passionately about the breakdown of the government, and talked about eventually abandoning the US and gaining citizenship in Portugal.
Langston was young and Chase was everything he wanted to be - wild, carefree, full of life, love, passion, creativity, and this was all before they ever shared a kiss.
They were inseparable. Langston loved the adventure, the danger, the life Chase introduced him to and Chase loved the way Langston worshiped him. Chase knew that Langston hung onto his every word and Chase's reckless soul craved that, needed that. Chase would dance in circles, entertaining Langston until his feet bled if that would keep that fire in Langston's eyes.
They went from being best friends to being insatiable lovers overnight because there was no slow burn for Chase. Once he realized he wanted Langston, he tested the waters a little, had to be sure before making his move, because as arrogant as he was, he truly did love Langston and wasn't willing to lose his friendship. As soon as he was sure Langston would return any romantic overtures put forth by Chase, Chase went all in.
Still a starving college student, Chase didn't come from money or family support like Langston, he spent every cent he had on a grand gesture and rented a tux and limo for a night at the theater and a hotel in the city. It wasn't until Chase let Langston into the hotel room that Langston realized that their friendship was moving to something else entirely. Chase had been prepared to turn on his charm and play every card he had to seduce Langston into bed that night but Langston surprised both of them by turning the tables and emerging the dominate party in the bedroom that night, and every night going forward.
There was a friendship, and then a relationship that classmates, then friends, then family, and eventually the media commented on - they were beautiful and charismatic. They were Langston and Chase. Then the doctor and the actor. Then they were the doctor, the director, and the child.
So for Langston, who was bigger and stronger and not scared of Chase at all. For Langston, who understood Chase and all his demons, Langston who also saw them as the world saw them - as something special - he, when his own body lay beaten and bloody on the floor, he had never used the word abuse, had honestly never even had the word enter his mind - Langston was only thankful he was able to be what Chase needed him to be. Strong."

So, yes - still writing. Kevin and Rick will have their story told.
And, I guess- so now, will Langston's story!
