What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Teresa Flavin I love meeting my readers at schools, libraries, festivals and bookstore appearances! I speak to large groups of pupils and the more I do this, the more I realise how important it is to inspire young people to realise their dreams. It's a privilege to be able to tell them about my (sometimes bumpy) road to becoming an artist and writer and to hear about their aspirations. But probably the best feeling of all is when I hear that my visit inspired a reluctant reader to pick up a book. This makes me incredibly happy!
