How do you get inspired to write?

Andrew Varga I find that two things usually provide inspiration for my writing:
1) Long drives. The tedium of staring at endless asphalt makes my mind wander. And those wanderings usually lead to story ideas.
2) Music. I've always been heavily inspired by the mood and theme of songs. In fact, I've found that with my current series, a certain song became the inspiration for each book following the first one. (There was no song for the first book.) If I ever got in a rut, I could turn on the specific song and get inspired again.
