Hey! My husband and I are *huge* fans! He has read every one of your books, and I've only got a couple left to read! We were wondering if the Rock of Gibraltar had any special or personal meaning to you? We both finished up Lost In Time a couple of weeks ago, and we were talking about your stories yesterday and the mention of the rock in a lot of your books, so we thought we would ask you!

Hi Katie,
I'm so glad you both enjoyed the books!
Yes--I visited Gibraltar probably a decade ago and have always been fascinated by the Rock of Gibraltar for a few reasons:
-- its significance in ancient myths (as part of the boundary of the known world)
-- the Barbary macaques (which are present nowhere else in Europe that I know of)
-- the tunnels
For the Atlantis trilogy, the location worked really well with the story, so I used it (and continued incorporating it in future works as sort of a callback).
Hope all is well and thanks for the note.

A.G. Riddle:
Hi! I just finished Quantum Radio and loved it. I'm curious about a few things from the original world: (1) Why did Nora's father disappear? Was it a similar reason to why Ty's father did? (2) What events made Ty's father leave? (3) If Ty's father was visited by Covenant Agents, what did they have to gain by having Ty's father help him escape with the radio? Wondering if these will be answered in the next book.

This is my first ever posting to an author of a book I purchased. A friend recommended your books, Thus I purchased your "Pandemic" and just finished it. I was really into the novel and loved the flow until all the Lazarus twists and family/friend reunions.
Just wondering why all the twists? What was your thoughts behind this? Does your other series have these twists? Thanks...
