What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Andrew R. Jones If you write, you are a writer. You might be aspiring toward publication, but you are still a writer. Call yourself a writer.
Almost every writer will tell you the main two things that lead to being a better writer are to write more and to read more. I'm certainly a product of that reality.
The best book in my opinion on writing is Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird. Pick up a copy of that and enjoy.
