Goodreads asked Robert C. Murray:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Robert C. Murray The best way that I have found to deal with the dreaded writer's block is to go for a drive. I have had so many good ideas while driving. The original inspiration for "In Heels" came while I was stuck in traffic, and a good number of poems in both "Stand Right, Walk Left" and "Blue" came to me while on the road.
Can't make headway in your writing? leave it behind and go for a drive. Listen to the radio and just be on the road. You might see something that inspires you, or hear something on the radio that inspires you, or your subconscious ticking along while you focus on operating your heavy machinery may be all that it takes to knock that block loose.
