Hello Jodi: You've self-published a book which then got picked up by a traditional publishing house. Other than great writing, solid characters and inventive plot, how did they find you? And do you have other self-published works out there that didn't get picked up? Or did you pull them off the rack? Thanks and although you've left the self-publishing club, we still root for you!

Hi. Accent Press found me! I was living in Turkey at the time and they tracked me down. Just One Damned Thing was number one on Amazon's free book chart and Accent had a policy of checking for promising new authors. I don't have any more self-published stuff out there. That was ten years ago and I don't know what the position is today but Smashwords - the other self-publishing platform I used - were about to do me a fantastic publicity promo in Australia for my second book so reputable - and I stress reputable - self-publishers can do a fantastic job for authors.

Hello Jodi. I'm addicted to your books and very much enjoy reading all your 'themes'. Noting the 'local' connections is that why you named the St Mary's Director 'Edward Bairstow'? Are we likely to have any references made to the English (Yorkshire) composer of the same name whose musical life included York Minster, or any musical elements in your stories? Keep writing, please, your books brighten my life.

My GR group read your first book, but we can't understand the end. So Max and Deiter put a bomb in one of the pods and painted tb2 on the side, Ronan leaves in that same pod, Max recognizes the letters tb2 when they were at the Cretaceous period, and Max says that hasn't happened yet, them going to the Cretaceous period. How is it Ronan's past and their future when they were all there together at the same time?
