Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Cristina Isabel Me, Myself and I was the idea behind my poetry collection book, Break the Chains, Be Freed Within. I used what depression had done to me and brought it to life in poetry. Depression is a very serious and controversial subject because people don't tend to understand how one can fall into such a dark space. Sometimes you don't really know how you ended up in this dark space and you don't really want to get out of it because you become comfortable in it. At least that is how it was for me. I am not ashamed that I went through it and have scars because of it but I am proud that I finally came out of it and that is all that really matters. After all, I finally broke those chains and became free.
