Goodreads asked Laurel A. Rockefeller:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Laurel A. Rockefeller Writer's block is a signal that something is wrong in your work and needs to be gone over again and revised. When something is right, it just FLOWS. When I feel really blocked on something, my best strategy is to delete massive sections of the work and start that part over again. Nothing is perfect on the first pass. Block is your talent's signal that it's time to revise.
