Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Arista Holmes Many of my stories start with a 'What if...?' question, Changeling was no different in that regard. I had recently seen the 2019 the film 'Dark Waters', which takes a cinematic look at the environmental lawsuit against the chemical company DuPont.

It's a fantastic film, if a little terrifying, but it made me ask the question; If every human on the planet was contaminated with "Forever Chemicals", wouldn't that make our blood toxic to vampires? What would that do to vampires? And how would that scenario play out?

That premise became the creation of the kavians in the books, and everything else has spiralled out from that point.
