I loved your books and think you did an amazing job, but I'm really curious to know who inspired you to create Catherine?
Jen Lyon
Hi Nanna! Thanks so much for reading! I am so glad you enjoyed the books.
Catharine was a conglomeration of a few things. Her grace, beauty and poise was inspired by (no doubt unsurprisingly) Cate Blanchett. Her powerhouse confidence in business in a field that is dominated by men was inspired by the fictional character of Patty Hewes, who was the main character in a show called "Damages" that aired more than a decade ago. And her kindness, thoughtfulness, intelligence and patience is stemmed from my own experience with my wife, who, aside from not being a billionaire (dang it), has many similarities to Catharine's upbringing and previous long term relationship. So between the three, I created Catharine. <3

Hi Jen, I am curious if you listen to music while you write? If yes do you set a definite playlist for each novel you write? Congratulations on the US win in the She Believes tourny. Too bad our women on blades came from behind and won 4 games straight to win the Rivalry Cup 😱. Sorry, not sorry. 😉

Hiiii! This is such a weird question, I haven't actually read The Senators Wife YET.... However, my coworker gave me a play by play as she was reading, it caught my attention and she likes talking about it, what can I say. SO when is the third book coming out, The Unfinished Line? ALSO my co-worker also knows Kelley O'Hara so I thought it was a weird coincidence.. Thank you!

Hi Jen - I am more a listener than a reader (the eyes get tired), so I am wondering whether an audioversion of the Book 2 of the Senator's Wife is planned (hopefully read by Abby Craden - she is wonderful!) and if, do you have a release date? And: if you intended to make me dislike Republicans and men in general more than I already did, you managed it. I just hope, Book 2 doesn't get into darker territory.
