Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

K.L. Hester Trauma in my own life and the life of someone near and dear to me. I wanted to write a book that shows the characters going though human experiences (in a fantasy setting) and having to deal with the trauma and grief that accompanies them. I wanted to show how events don't have to define a person. I wanted to show how people can rise higher than what life throws at us and become someone new and better in the process.
