Goodreads asked Travis W. Inman:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Travis W. Inman I have funny ideas about writer's block. I suffer (or enjoy?) ADHD, so my mind works differently than others. But, when I suffer what is possibly writer's block, it is because I'm distracted by a door knob or a leaf on a tree. Perhaps I'm distracted by another idea. When this happens to me, the first step is to recognize it. The second is to purge the idea out of my head, otherwise it will never go away. The third is to momentarily stop what I'm doing and allow my mind to reset itself. Maybe I'll play a computer game, or watch a TV show. Once my mind has "relaxed a little" I can get back to my keyboard.

Now, once in a blue moon, I find myself struggling how to get the story moving. When that happens, I push through. I will write something. Anything. Sometimes I will have to delete those last few pages and start over, sometimes those pages are just right. But, I never STOP writing when that happens. Water needs an open valve to flow. Words are no different. If you stop, then nothing will happen.
