How do you get inspired to write?

Kate Douglas My head is so full of stories it's hard to figure out what to choose. I can see a person walking down the street and start going off in fictional directions, or watch something on TV--there was a Coke or Pepsi commercial years ago with a bunch of women in an office building drooling over the hot construction guys on the building next door. My contemporary romance 68 & Climbing was a direct result of that commercial. Just leave yourself open to ideas.
