Hey! What got you into writing fairytales? What is your absolute favorite fairytale?

Hi! I think what got me into writing fairy tale retellings was reading other indie authors' retellings. It's such a fun genre, and it made me want to try it out for myself. It's very hard to pick a favorite fairy tale...I really liked The 12 Dancing Princesses as a child, and also Thumbelina. But The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast are also favorites!

Azalea appears to have olive skin on the cover of Kingdom of Slumber and is described to have "warm brown skin" a couple of times. Technically, she's Listernian, but if she were played by a movie actress, what race would she be? Loved the book! Got me out of a reading slump!

I've only just started reading your retellings—and I'm not even at the halfway mark of Kingdom of Beauty yet—and I know you have more writing to do before you get to this, so this is... rather preemptive I suppose(?), but where do you plan to take your next fairy tale series? Will it be set in the same lands as The Kingdom Tales, or somewhere new? Which stories will you retell?
