Goodreads asked Roland Mann:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Roland Mann I don't believe in writer's block. Oh sure, I believe writers can reach an impasse in a story and get "stuck," but that's not the same as writer's block. I find writer's block to really be "writer's too-lazy to work." The reason is that most writers I know have multiple projects going at once. If they get stuck in one, they put it aside and work on a different one. Generally, the place they were stuck "fixes" itself while they're working on the other thing. If a writer has only ONE story...they're in for a very short writing career.
Other things I do when I find motivation a problem, though, is read, read, read. I find reading things I like inspires me to BIC (BUTT IN CHAIR!).
