Goodreads asked Tony Fahkry:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tony Fahkry The key to dealing with writer's block is to write daily and establish a schedule. I am productive with the writing process at certain times of the day. The morning is a good time to write new material, while the afternoon is ideal practice for editing my work.

As someone who promotes health and wellbeing, staying physically and mentally active helps avoid writer's block. After a workout I am thriving with new material and content, so I always make it a point to make notes that will be used in the future.

The other key aspect of my writing process is taking daily afternoon naps when I hit the dreaded slump hour (3 - 4 pm). Since I don't drink caffeine, my mental energy tends to wane during this time. A brief nap, not only energises me, it provides an opportunity for amazing inspiration and ideas.

You'll be pleased to know that the title of the book was previously called "Navigate Life." During an afternoon nap one day I had a strong inspiration to add "The Power" to the title. It felt right and I knew to act on the inspiration. I feel guided by my intuition on many occasions during the writing process and most importantly trust and act on it.
