I read a lot and I end up finding myself thinking about how I would have written the ending if I don't like it. When I watch movies...I tend to rewrite the endings in my mind if I don't like the way they ended either. At this point, the thought comes to my head: "I should just write a love story the way it should be written...with more action, elves, magic etc." and the books sort of evolves on its own.
